Reclaimed Barnwood is typically pine wood that has been used on barns, buildings, and other structures. Exposed to sun, wind, rain and snow for decades, the wood will develop its own unique color and texture. When these structures have met or exceeded their usable lifespan, many companies like ours see the value in not only reclaiming the wood and re-using it for other purposes, but also see the beauty in what nature has created from simple milled pine wood and want to share that beauty with the world.
Our Rawhide Series distills that barnwood down into very consistent and relatable elements. The unfinished face, saw cut edges, and consistent thickness allow for this series to be budget friendly while still going the distance in terms of function and design. The unfinished nature of this product series also allows us to offer a broader selection of color options, perfect for customizing either a monochromatic or varied colorway to a project.
At Everitt & Schilling we take a lot of pride in bringing this unique product from our factory in Fort Collins, CO to your doorstep. We constantly are searching and vetting reclaimed barnwood sources to deliver the best raw materials to make our tile with. We are the only wood tile manufacturer using our patent pending backer system which allows for hassle free installations using adhesive or thinset instead of mechanical fastening, and we only finish our Barnwood Series products with non VOC ceramic coatings to ensure the product stays looking great for years to come.
Rethink What’s Possible with Barnwood
The Rawhide Series – Real Barnwood Tiles for Everyone
The Rawhide Series takes the best of all our other products, whether that’s the unique patterns, our expertly sourced and kiln dried barnwood, or our manufacturing expertise, and creates a product that is visually stunning, texturally inviting, well made, and best of all, affordable for all levels of projects. Designed to embody the spirit of the Western frontier while still belying an understand sense of new urbanism design, the Rawhide Series is a “go to” product for homeowners and designers alike.
Real Wood, not Veneer
The Rawhide Series is consistently milled to a 5/8″ thickness creating a product that is sturdy, holds true to the wall, and shows off the character of what reclaimed barnwood is meant to be including knots, nailholes, weathering, and graining that makes this product unique. Don’t be fooled by overpriced veneer products, normally less than 1/3 the thickness of the Rawhide Series and lacking the character that only comes with standard thickness wood.
